Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Eric is the man. I broke my center console lid and he hooked me up with this carbon one. Great price, perfect fitment, high quality carbon fiber. If you need interior tid bits...this is your man. From one business person to another, this guy is dialed!

POST 2Original post

I like it. Too bad the pattern direction isn't the same. Nitpicky I know

POST 3Original post

Eric's the man, isn't he? Just placed an order with him last week and emailed him a VERY stupid question. He responded right away and with good cheer. Too bad they're all not like him!

POST 4Original post

Eric is solid, no doubt about that! Dan, why is the driver's side "dummy" rear window button on the center console installed backwards? The "bump" or raised portion of the button should be toward the front of the car.

POST 5Original post

It likely serves a purpose other than being a dummy

POST 6Original post

It's not nitpicky... i noticed the same thing.

POST 7Original post

Yes, Eric's reputation is stellar. He's always been terrific with me as well. -Charles

POST 8Original post

Just checked out their website, great products. The cf is a good look.

POST 9Original post

eric is indeed the man when it comes to product and customer service (the frequently forgotten half of the equation). He is very patient with dumb questions.

POST 10Original post

I've had good luck wit hhim too. I ordered a rear wiper plug for maybe $15 and he sent it overnight FedEx!! Great service highly recommended.

POST 11Original post

Thanks Dan and gang. On the weave, I believe what you are seeing is an aftermarket 'wrap' on Dan's console. On the factory consoles, our lids match up like this:

POST 12Original post

Sweet! Now that would look good on my CF console!

POST 13Original post

Eric, I checked out your site again (my seal grey bumperplugs and clear sides are gone with the car), and it looked like you didn't yet have a lot for the 997. In particular, I was looking at painted pieces (like rear center console) and CF trim pieces. Do you expect to get them soon?

POST 14Original post

Yes, another vote for Eric @ bumperplugs. What great service. Ordered a custom painted GT3 emblem and it was delivered in record time. Thanks for your nice work.

POST 15Original post

I just want to bump this thread in appreciation for Eric. I ordered a box of Rejex from him and a set of key door plugs. Not only did he give me the best deal ever, but the whole deal from order to shiping to receiving the goods took 4 days.....and I am in Liverpool, UK. I dont think my local Porsche shop could do that if hey tried! Well impressed. Her's to you Eric. It was a pleasure doing business with you. Many thanks mate.

POST 16Original post

Glad the box arrived in one piece to the UK Bernie! On the 997 stuff, Doug check the 'order' page. It's all there. For the 997, we have quite a few goodies. Rear Center Console (have had them since the model was introduced) Interior door trim Ignition surround Seatbelt outlets B&M Short Shifters Clear Sidemarkers And while there, check out our updated Gallery page. Some interesting 997/987/Cayman goodies there as well. We have not yet rolled out as much CF for the 997, as there is a worldwide shortage of carbon due to the aerospace industry. But...we do have a one-off custom piece sitting on my desk. Can you tell what it is behind this wheel cap?

POST 17Original post

Eric - sorry, I didn't make myself very clear. I'm interested in the painted rear center console (which you do have), the carbon fiber pieces (which you don't have - I didn't know about the shortage), and possibly painted seat backs (I didn't see them, but I thought someone got them from you). The dealer has promised to supply clear side markers, but if not I'll order some from you in a few months. How hard is it to replace the rear center console? How about seat backs? $379 is an attractive price for the console, but its worth something to have the dealer install it.

POST 18Original post

Console is pretty straightforward, and 90% of our customers do it themselves. 1 hour for the dealer, don't let 'em charge anything above it. Hooks are coming soon....Porsche is hording them for some odd reason. We've had them on order for two months. Painted seat backs...we can do them if the shells are sent to us disassembled. We've been doing 996 seatbacks for years. Email me anytime for more detail. Carbon is coming! Thanks.

POST 19Original post

i bought bumperplugs for my 745Li from him but never used them. ended up returning them months and months later. he accepted them without any problems. if i can buy anything from eric for my new 911, i will.

POST 20Original post

Hahaha - I like how when Dan posts pics of his interior, everyone starts chiming in on what's wrong with it.... Porsche drivers are indeed passionate!

POST 21Original post

I've never bought anything from Eric, but I will say I've never heard anything remotely negative about Bumperplugs. It's all been very positive. When I'm in the market for any interior painted bits or CF, I know I will be able to get quality parts from him....
