Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

so still not a bad deal..that's why i jumped on it..
Well, monday i checked my work email and saw a message that says 2001 Porsche Carrera 60Kmiles for sale, relocating to Singapore..wth? as soon as I opened it , the email was from a bigwig who knows i like Porsches, hey Alex have you seen this post? saw the price at $35,000.. looked up the guy in the company directory called him...told him if he can get it to Carlsen Porsche to inspect and see it can qualify as CPO,i'd buy the car... the owner agreed to sell to the dealer for $33K, wow.. then i sold the BoxsterS had paid the dealer to certify and do 60k mile maintenance thanks to Gary Quibelan at Carlsen.. he made it happened..pretty stock but I know i wont have problems modding this thing pics below
Congrats on the car.
I have a question: How did you go about getting a CPO on it?
I will be facing the same choice on my car in 11 months.
I took over an existing lease on an '01 C4 Coupe with 41K miles.
I felt this was the ideal scenario to get into a Porsche.
No large downpayment, simply take over the monthly lease cost and get an excellent buy-out price of $35,000 in 11 months if I like the car.
The car is currently still under extended warranty (until 12/2006).
What are the steps to make the car CPO at the end of my lease, so I can buy it with peace of mind?
Or is my only option to try and get an aftermarket warranty before the extended Porsche warranty runs out?
Thank you for your time.
Very simple.........
(1) The ONLY way to get the CPO is to buy a CPO from a private party since the remaining balance on the CPO is transferable.
...or....
(2) Buy a used P-Car from a PORSCHE dealer since they are the ONLY ones that can certify.
What alex did was get a private party that did not have a CPO to sell the car to the dealer and then buy it from the dealer so that it could be certified. Basically, alex used the dealer as a passthrough. Very important to have all the numbers agreed upon PRIOR to this so there is no chance of the dealer screwing you.
pvanasta......if you want to keep the car you are in and want it CPO'd you will need to turn in the lease to the dealer and then buy it back from them so they can CPO it. The CPO costs roughly $1700 on top of the sale price.
