Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use the Battery Manager II, it works well, no problems.
Leading evidence: 'Use battery manager ii' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use battery manager ii' (1 discussions). Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

A good friend is in Iraq commanding a battalion and his wife asked me about getting a trickle charger for his garaged 03 C4S.
I know nothing about them since my 968 goes with me to work every day.

Get a battery tender. They can be hooked to either cigarette lighter socket or directly to battery via clamps or quick release wires. They are fully automatic and can be left plugged for years. They usually sell $70-90.
Porsche also sells these. Porsche sells 2 versions, one plug into cig light and another connects to battery.
There are other brands out there that are cheaper. I saw a no name brand selling for $10 at local auto supply store. I'm not sure if I trust it though. It may overcharge the battery even if it says it's automatic.
The Deltran "Battery Tender" is a battery conditioner, not a trickle charger. It maintains gel and wet batteries in optimal condition, indefinitely. I reviewed it some years back when I was a gear guy for BOATING magazine. I have one that I use and it is really effective, yet won't boil the wet battery down to dry plates. Good stuff for a guy doing a great job. Tell him to keep the fiath and keep his head down.

Never used one personally, but I know quite a few people that swear by these two products...
I have a Pulsetech that has a solar panel, it is a good choice for a car left outside. The trick with any of these, 110V or solar powered, is to make sure they have some sort of override module so they won't boil the battery dry. I wouldn't trust a P-Car to a $10 cheapo unit that was assembled by slave labor in Lower Slobvenia. Spend the $90 or so to make sure the battery is topped off and the car isnt a pile of ashes when you go looking for it.
FYI Porsche makes one. (it is a rebranded of a preexisting, but you get peace of mind
)
OEM Parts for the win.
Won't overchange and ruin your car like some aftermarket ones may.
I've got four of these, they work great.
