Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I replaced with the same because that's what I have up front.

I'm running around with this stupid collapsed tire without the electric pump.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I got a flat and just put my spare on. 30 psi. Proper inflation is 60 psi. At least I'm at home so I can deal with pumping it up, but this could have been a mess. My experience, these spares hold pressure pretty well, so I'm guessing it's never been checked. Auto shop is supposed to check it as part of routine maintenance...
P.S. Ever used a bicycle pump to inflate a car tire? I didn't have anything else around.
My next purchase is a good compressor for my garage!
My car had been leased for a year and then sat at dealerships for 6 months before I bought it. All the tires pressures were wrong, but my favorite was the spare tire pressure. You got it. 30 psi.
I used a bicycle pump on car tires all the time. Good upper body workout!
I thought I was the only person pumping those tires with a bike pump!
Indeed, spares are often ignored. I try to check it once a year or so.
Gnome, which tires do you have? If the rears blew out, don't drive on it for long cause it'll wear out the differential.
djantlive: I'm running Bridgestone S-03's right now. 285/30/18. I replaced with the same because that's what I have up front. I actually got 18,000 miles out of the rears (lots of highway driving). I thought I'd get about 2,000 more, but when it went the other day that was it. I like the Bridgestones, but I think next time I'll try the Michelin Pilot Sports.
Thanks for the tip on the differential. Hadn't thought about that.
