Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Local dealer has this on the lot. Nice car with great options. Price is a little high, but just their initial position.

Dude
Thanks for thinking of others
I'm in the Market for a Seal Gray coupe, and although I've been back and forth with a private seller / I also inquired with Leith about this one you posted.
have you seen it in person ? does it look decent?
I was curious about the two divots above the bumper plugs?
Cheers
Will
the car looks pretty good.
just that when I was trying to sell mine, which is only 40k miles and it as good or better condition I could not get more than $26 for it. And I have full carbon and full leather interior. SO I think this is worth $24k.
Sorry I don't follow..............
you were trying to sell yours?
or you are currently trying to sell it?
(interested if its currently for sale and a 996.2)
Cheers
Will
I feel like I'm posting this a lot but its prob worth repeating... I've got the KBB buying service certificate in hand from a participating local dealer offering me $25k for my car which is an 02 and this is dealer trade pricing.
So either people here are selling and buying cars that have issues they aren't mentioning, or you screwed yourself and should have just sold it to a dealer.
I just had a friend tell me about the car at leith. Pretty good dealer and have been helpful in the past.
That said I see some inaccuracies in their description of this car (wheel size, options).
Not only is the price a little high, so is the milage for that year. Has the 60,000 miles service been done on the car? Just a few things to consider in the negotiation.
I purchased a 02 Turbo from them back in October,couldn't of had a better experience for an out of state purchase,even hooked me up with great price on transport,which showed up a day early!:}
Side Note: If interested- I have a 02 Artic Silver C2 with 25k miles for sale on Autotrader (Showroom Condition!) *Price listed is negotiable*
I have walked around the car. Seems in very good condition. Did not notice the divots. I'm happy to go back if you are really interested. I know the dealer fairly well and they are just around the corner. PM me if interested.
I don't know about price points but how is mileage high for a 10 year old car? Do people really spend a boatload of $ and not use their vehicle? Also, not driving the car will certainly introduce more problems down the line than actually driving the car. The IMS bearing issue is probably one of those.
'03 here and 140k miles
Always sort of funny to me when people make a big deal about dealer asking prices.
It's a fricking dealer! It's what they do! They put high numbers on cars knowing that many buyers, particularly of second/fun/sporty cars, act on impulse. And most are uninformed. Doesn't mean you have to pay that price. This car seems to me to be priced low enough that you can probably get a realistic final number that reflects the true value of a car.
And don't automatically disregard the advantages of buying from a good dealership. Factory-trained mechanics have inspected/serviced the car. And a dealer will also more likely stand behind a car if something is wrong initially. You will not get that from a private sale.
Anyway, it seemed like a nice car. Hope somebody buys it.
