Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Or is the other test on the same day that showed 407 RWHP on a different dynojet accurate??????
Leading evidence: 'Test on the same day' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test on the same day' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Only with consistency can you properly test the result of mods.

Remember chassis dynos were/are designed to test smog emissions on cars, not max hp.

Just pull the motor and spend a day or two testing whatever you're looking into.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have the B&B Headers, Fabspeed Exhaust with Bypass Pipes, EVOMS Intake. We were calibrating the dyno so on a 4th gear pull it did 284. A little high, it should read about 265 instead I think.
You need to shut the trunk lid and put the fan in front of the engine. That is, unless you drive down the road with the trunk open and towing a big fan to keep the intake air and engine cool. You'll notice a big difference in dyno readings, but it will more relect real world available power.
99 is right, that's how Ruf does it (and porsche too), deck closed in the wind tunnel. Just save yourself the wear and tear and go out and get a g-timer, 100$, evaluate your mods yourself and get just as meaningful(less) data as a chassis dyno.
BTW most racers I know dyno engines not cars.
why did you move.. cant handle the 115 degrees
So your telling me I should have bought a $100 Gtech instead of a $70000 dyno. DAMN IT!!! Should have polled the forum users
Talk about real night time driving.... I would love to do that but now a days, where I live, there's just too many bugs... swarming everywhere there's light shining!! I come home with bumper and windshield full of them!!
Dyno providers will say no. but they have an interest in them being different. Franlky, it does not matter, whether a dyno or a G-tech or other device is accurate, but more importantly that they are consistent based on enviroinment variables. I could care less if my car showed 100 rwhp, just as long as every time I measured it, it would be 100. Only with consistency can you properly test the result of mods.
Actually BEL tested theirs extensively and swear by their data, try their website. Remember chassis dynos were/are designed to test smog emissions on cars, not max hp. Too many variables, wholly inaccurate, do you really think Schumacher puts his car on a chassis dyno or a standard engine dyno?
Chassis dynos are really aimed at the street crowd, like racing for pinkslips behind the dairy queen, no hard core racer(NASCAR,NHRA,IMSA, what have you) would take it seriously. JMO
So whats wrong with PHX roads, they get rid of the need for navigation
Bottomline is a DYNO is way more accurate the GTech anyday. A dyno is a tool, extensive for tuning, measuring, and learning. Consistancy is key, more over then what is "right".
So I guess, since you dyno operators say that dynos are accurate, I can claim that my supercharged 1999 C2 has horsepower in excess of 510???? I mean, I have a graph from a dynojet that shows RWHP of 437 on my litle old 3.4 liter engine. It must be true, so please back me up wen I claim a 510 hp 996. Or is the other test on the same day that showed 407 RWHP on a different dynojet accurate?????? Or maybe the 3rd test that day that showed 374??? I'm going to keep trying different ones until I find one showing 700 rwhp. Then my car will be real fast. LOL.
Bottom line is that dyno's are not accurate, but can be. The important thing is not what they show is correct, but that what they show is consistantly wrong, right or somewhere in between.
I think g timers are no worse than chassis dynos, probably not any better. If you're seriously racing then chassis dynos are a waste of time and meaningless, a real engine dyno is the gold standard for real racing. Just pull the motor and spend a day or two testing whatever you're looking into. We once spent a day and a half jetting a carb right on a dyno before a big event. However, for most folks here who really just have street cars that play a little on the track, me included as we no longer campaign a nationaly competitive race car, you're really just wasting your time and money on a chassis dyno. Like 99 said, it's all about consistency and results, thus a g timer is no better and certainly not worse than a chassis dyno in evaluating mods on a street car.jmo fwiw
