This is not a probability of success.

I lightly cleaned lugs with steel wool and then applied a couple of coats from a silver metallic Sharpie.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LUGs ... Quick clean up! I hate seeing the Porsches with rusty/tarnished wheel lugs. I wanted to stay with the original steel lugs. I lightly cleaned lugs with steel wool and then applied a couple of coats from a silver metallic Sharpie. Ill let the pictures speak for themselves.

POST 2Original post

Nice! I am sporting the same wheels with the same issue. Doesn't tightening the lugs take the sharpie coloring off?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, but can be quickly touched up. This is only a temp fix. Chris

POST 4Original post

I just pulled em all off and painted them with Wurth wheel paint. It was quick and easy.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looks great. When I paint my center console silver Ill most likely do the same.

POST 6Original post

Just did this a few weeks ago...re-zinced mine. That sharpie does wonders...looks great for quick touchups.

POST 7Original post

Clean them and paint them....and then take it easy with a softtite socket when you take them on and off. I painted mine GT Silver.

POST 9Original post

Chris - looks good, thanks for sharing. Nice cab.
