With just a light issue, hopefully that is more easily repairable (either by yourself or a speedometer repair shop).

I had a more complex issue with my speedometer (with the gas gauge), so hopefully you have better luck than I did. I tried to get it repaired which meant taking out the instrument cluster and shipping it. Unfortunately during shipping one of the LCD crystals cracked and had to be replaced, which led to a few weeks without my car. And despite attempting to fix the gas gauge, it did not work so it has the same problem that it did before. It also sounds like new instrument clusters are both very expensive and also on backorder, so not great options right now. With just a light issue, hopefully that is more easily repairable (either by yourself or a speedometer repair shop). My advice is to pack really well and maybe avoid express shipping/air travel because I suspect that is what ultimately cracked my LCD screen. It does seem like these models are of the age where the instrument cluster and other parts are starting to wear out. Just in the past few weeks I've had issues with multiple unrelated parts such as the instrument cluster, window regulator, shift cable, etc. Expensive!
