Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Bought tiny little tube from an outfit in denver for like 8 bucks, used about a pencil eraser's worth of material on each tip (looked just like yours), buffed for 10 minutes with a polishing cloth (worked em like a shoe shine guy) and they were like new.

I know everyone likes a thread with pictures - and now that everyone has confessed to secretly caressing their 996's curves - I decided to do a thorough cleaning yesterday.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I washed, clayed, polished and wax the car, and, boy, it looks fantastic! But it took a long time... about 5 hours. It looks so nice, I had to stop on the way to work and take pictures!
I washed mine as well. Funny thing, it got up to 67 degrees here today, I took the top down, drove to Alta and most all the rattles and squeeks went away that have been tormenting me the last couple of months.
In the northeast, like the Pacific northwest, we're "blessed" with lots of water...
What car care products do you guys use? For the first time, I used the Ultima Paint Prep Polish and Ultima Paint Guard Plus from
Autopia
.
I've got to say, the polish was pretty nice to work with. It really brought a nice shine to the paint and was easy to wipe off. I'm not sold on the paint guard plus sealant yet... They claim it dries clear, but I did see a few streaks today. I guess I'll wait to make my judgement after I see how durable it is.
I used the Sonus green detailing clay and the Ultima products mentioned above (all from Autopia).
p.s. the car is Ocean Blue - at sunset it's almost purple!
Use some simichrome on those tips. Bought tiny little tube from an outfit in denver for like 8 bucks, used about a pencil eraser's worth of material on each tip (looked just like yours), buffed for 10 minutes with a polishing cloth (worked em like a shoe shine guy) and they were like new. Stuff is amazing, cheap when you realize how little you need.
I've taken several sets of tips to a metal refinishing shop for polishing. They come out with the very high shine that no hand polishing compound and achieve. It's cost anywhere between $50-$100 but you'll only have to do it once if you keep it shiny thereafter.
