I will start out by saying that I am not upset nor really expected anything more but I was going to be leaving my 2003 C4S in my sisters driveway in LA for 3 weeks and I only have an indoor cover. So I went on e-bay and found a cover specifically listed for a 2001-2005 996 Turbo / C4S. So I orderd it and it came in 2 days. The price was $50 plus shipping for a grand total of $68. Well, as you can see it is not very fitted, at all.... I might as well cover my car with a sheet. I would be really pissed if I orderd this to serve as my everyday cover but It will serve the purpose I got it for and keep the sun, ASH... and dust off my car for the time being. So, if anywone is looking for a good quality fitted car cover I would reccomend you stick with Performance Products or another reputable source. This is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for"
Hmnnn, I am in Phoenix and my brother in law put it on. I wonder...That would be funny.
I have a fitted cover at home and I don't think I would be able to get it on backwards though. I will ask him.
...looks like the mirror pockets are oriented to the back of the car. Do this before any further assessment:
Remove the cover - lie it on the ground or have two assistants hold it 'in place'
Back the car out and turn it around
Re-enter the parking spot by 'backing in'
Replace cover and reassess fit
Is it fleece lined inside? if not I tried that one and sent it back for another one that was a better 4 layer and 40 bucks more, but the fit is about the same as yours which is more universal but at least it fits over my aftermarket foil. I needed it for some protection from the elements and the way it looks now no one knows what kinda car is underneath that maybe a benefit also "Stealth". I had a neighbor that "had" a nice California car cover for outdoor and it lasted about 3 weeks before being ripped off.
Funny comment on the Altima cover. I have one on my '88 Carrera and it fits better than any generic cover. One mirror pockets is out of place, otherwise you would think it's a 911 cover (almost). It hangs on the car level and doesn't touch the ground anywhere. It would actually be just about perfect if I had a ducktail.
I don't think the OP's cover will ever fit well, but as he says, for a few weeks at $68, he's good. I bet he gets his money back if he sells.
