Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'm here until 2011 but the problem is selling the car after two years.
Leading evidence: 'selling the car' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'selling the car' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys - you may not remember me, I was only here a year when an international assignment made me sell my 2002 C2 and move to the UK.
I'm here now and pleasantly surprised to see that Porsche prices are really about the same as back home.
That said, I'm not particularly focused on buying a Porsche here because I would rather have the money in the bank given the ****e going on, but check out the GT3 that USD $55K buys over here. The tax is included in the prices here too so that's the price...done.
We never got the MkI in North America, and we still can't get a Clubsport.
I gotta say it's tempting, but ultimately the fact that the steering is on the wrong side is a deal breaker. I'd like to at least have the option of bringing it back to NA as a keeper. You get used to driving the wrong side, it's almost second nature after 9 months, but it's not proper for a Porsche is it?
By the way - driving in Wales is a treat. Not a straight piece of road anywhere, road manners are excellent, and even housewives in Hondas scream along at 70 mph on the hariest back roads.

It took a few months before it became natural. It was weird though, but not anymore. It was hard at first also to place the car on the road, hitting the apex type of thing. Even now I misjudge once in a while, but then again I'm driving a BMW compact (1998) which is decidedly not a Porsche.
I *still* go to the wrong side of the car sometimes, and just this evening I was about to enter a roadway and looked left first, started to go a bit then looked right and there was a car *right* there.
After 27 years of looking left, that's a tough habit to break, and it's the dangerous bit!
That DOES look tempting, but a right hand drive is a deal breaker for me in the US. How long you going to be overseas? Maybe you can enjoy it while you are there (if more than a year or 2) and sell before heading back?
Cool, thanks for checking in again.
I thought prices were more over there.
A drive in Wales sounds fun, are you near the coast?
Feel free to post any pics of your favorite roads.
Welcome back! Too bad about wales.
Nope, it's really easy - I jump between cars without too much of a problem. Sleep deprivation when you arrive in the country is usually the bigger issue.
Jasper...good to hear from you!
Nice Mk1... there is a real Mk1 Gt3 here in NJ for sale at $70k... sounds about right I guess.
Was in Ireland for 6 months for work... driving was lots of fun, I actually enjoyed it. Took me awhile to open the right door though. Welcome back
I'm here until 2011 but the problem is selling the car after two years. The UK economy has been hit hardest of all and it would be damned near impossible to sell a luxury sports car in anything approximating a hurry. The car I posted has been for sale since the summer. There's allot of GT3's for sale here, that was just the best "value".
Another wrinkle is that Canada doesn't allow imports of European spec cars until they are at least 15 years old. So the oldest MkI GT3 doesn't mature until 2014.
Hey Jasper!
Bummer about the steering wheel being on the wrong side. When you get back over here you can pick up a GT3 and get back to having fun again. Bob and I need more folks bringing GT3s out to play so we're counting on you.
All the best,
Hey Allan - hope I make it home eventually. Say hi to the gang for me. David - I had a look at mobile.de, the German version of cars.com and 996 are still expensive there. What helps here is that the has taken a real dive compared to the Canadian $. Not so much the case with the Euro. Plus there's the taxes to consider when you import. Basically I think a mainland Euro car is not a cost effective option.
