Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Either way, I'd clean the threads in the pillar with a tap to make sure they are good.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So to thread the seatbelts thru my new seats I was going to pop off the end that blts to the floor, thread it thru the seats and be done....
But like SO MANY simple things, it seems stuck. I thought there might be a nut under the car, but saw the detailed parts and I think not. SO has this happened to anyone before and what should be done to free it up. I am thinking spray lube is a bad idea with the carpet right there......
Awe... easy job turned into something FUN!
Something like WD-40 shouldn't stain the carpets. Just be sure to sponge it off after. There's some people that use it for stain removal on clothing, so I would think a carpet is safe. Be careful where you spray, sponge after, and pick up some spot shot maybe? That being said I'll still toss a disclaimer out there...

Did some googling and the only fabric I could find that WD-40 was a no-go was silk.
No, but there is no harm in asking since I don't want it to snap off, turn the nut in the frame or stain my beige carpets w/ oil if someone had a simillar issue that resulted in a bad experience, I would save the headache
I didn't have a problem with mine, but the bolts require some force to get off. Try the closed-end of a wrench rather than socket, or an impact gun (more tq, less moment).
Breaker bar, that bolt should be pretty strong and shouldn't snap on you as it attaches an anchor point for your seatbelt (Safety devices are usually more securely fastened with stronger hardware). I helped a buddy with installing his GT3 seats and the bolt broke loose with relatively little force. Not sure why it's different in your case. As mentioned before, try a little WD and a longer breaker bar(it will give you better mechanical advantage-leverage) or an impact. That should do it.
damnit! stripped...
got the passenger side off no troubles, drivers side broke free and turned but didnt come out....now wtf am i suppost to do about that... son of a !!!!!! I knew that didnt feel right. My thought it someone at somepoint must have removed it, cross threaded it and drove it home like a big dog. They are tricky to re-install because the carpet makes them want to go in a little crooked. I had the same trouble trying to get the pass side going... thought it was good but jammed.... took it out and re-started, all OK... thankfully I used my fingers till it was WAY in before I hit it with t wrench...
Now to deal with that other side - sh*t!
Try to insert a screwdriver under the head of the bolt so that you can put some pressure on the bolt to back it out will turning it. Hopefully it will catch some threads and start to back out. Once you get it out see what got stripped. The bolt or the nut inside the pillar. If it's the bolt, replace it. If it's the nut, you'll have to re-tap. Either way, I'd clean the threads in the pillar with a tap to make sure they are good.
Hope this helps,
