Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

25 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys. last Saturday I finalized a deal on a 2002 996TT at my local Porsche Dealer. The car is insane! only has 23k miles and it has CPO (2yrs). The sad note is that I traded my 02 996 and I already miss her, that car was so wonderful. I did my 1st DE on that car and ran more than 50 Autoxs in the last 3 years with her. I had no issues at all with the car, nothing ever broke. This morning I found an email stating that I have won this year's PCA autox championship at my region with my old 996. I almost got tears in my eyes she was my 1st 911, she will never be forgotten. Here are pics of my old 996 and the "new" 996TT

POST 2Original post

Which is the old one and which is the new one??? Just kidding!! The TT looks great! Very stealth looking! Congrats!

POST 3Original post

YEA. I love the new one.... I hope it will be as good to you as the last. Thanks for the pics and story!

POST 4Original post

I would have kept the old. Congrads on you new car.

POST 5Original post

Congrats! I think you'll beat me now in the BMW CCA Events with that beast. Can't wait to hear your impressions and contrast compared to your old car. Pete

POST 6Original post

Out with the old, in with the new and never look back!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for your comments! Pete, I dont know if I will be able to beat you, I have only put like 50miles on the TT and cant speak about the handling yet, she feels so more planted/solid than the C2, I am asuming she's gonna understeer a lot. we will see in a few months..

POST 8Original post

that is the best "good news, bad news" scenario i've ever heard of. i wish i had that. have great fun with the new tt and i hope to hear from you about your DE experiences with it.

POST 9Original post

beautiful beast--------once you go black you never go back!! Gray is distinguished BUT black is sexy, mean and sleek!! I wish I had a turbo.... Good luck.

POST 10Original post

Good for you . Will you continue to autox with the Turbo? So both Porsches are 02', did you stick with that year because your 'old' 02' never gave you any problems? GL

POST 11Original post

I know the feeling....I had a 1985 carerra (I kept for 15 years and 133,000 GLORIOUS MILES) that I traded for my 996.......I felt guilty, ashamed, like a traitor....and felt worse when I would ride by the dealership and see it sitting on the used car lot, out in the cold and rainy weather.................................excuse me while I go get a tissue box....

POST 12Original post

Wow - beautiful TT. Hope it's as trouble-free as your 996!

Congrads! looks like mine.............. not turbo

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for your comments.. Barn: yes I will AutoX her..

POST 16Original post

Congrats, and know how it is to give up an old friend. But we can see it... you've got the fever all over again.

POST 17Original post

Quotes source post: 6172176

Yeah, that's the same way I felt when I got my Honda!

POST 18Original post

Quotes source post: 6172393

Wasnt that more like salmonella than an actual fever?

POST 19Original post

love it... I want a turbo, or a gt3, or the new 997.2, or a.... anyway, congrats!

POST 20 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My deam car is a GT3 but they are still way out of my budget, I had to compromise and get the Turbo

POST 21Original post

I have owned both and the turbo is much more enjoyable if most of your driving is in the street.

POST 23Original post

Me thinks you will forget the "old" 996 in about 10 minutes after driving the "new" 996TT. Good luck with it - she's a beut!!

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for your comments... She is already for sale in cars.com, I hope she goes to a nice home..

POST 25Original post

Wow - Congrats on the TT... Geez I just love the look of that front end... Rudy ----------------------------- '01 Arctic Silver/Black C2 Cabriolet '03 Silver F-150 Supercrew
