Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

The other thing I do is to adjust the gamma of the photo.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust gamma of the photo' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'dirt' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust gamma of the photo' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Most of the time it just seems to come out OK, but other times I adjust the white, black, and midpoint color curves in photoshop.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here are some photos from this years Monterey Weekend that you might be interested in seeing. P-cars galore and some interesting other marques as well. Enjoy!
Thanks for the pics Orient Express. What an array of exotic cars, and how detailed yours looks.Cool pics, must have been a great day with so many different cars to look at.
So let's get this straight.
You got your 996 on the cover in front of that green monster? Nice!
Where did they hold this event, is that the Monterey airport?
Any other folks planning on going to the Historics at Laguna Seca, Porsche is the feature marque, should be amazing....
This years Concorso Italiano was at the Marina airport in Seaside (This is also where we have some of our AX events). The venue was universally panned, so next year it will be back at the Blackhawk Golf course. The 2009 Monterey Historics will be great fun, and so will the Palo Alto Concours as Porsche will be the featured marque there too.
Yes, the Orient Express made the December cover of the Loma Prieta PCA region's magazine.
Nice pics Gary!
Thanks for sharing.
I have a question.....
Could you tell us what exactly this little rest of dirty is???
(Look at the arrow)
Regards from Madrid Gary,
Joaquin
Joaquin:
You got my interest up as to just what that was. Dirt just did not seem possible!
Here is the suspect dirt with the image enhanced.
Clearly it is a distorted reflection of something, but what?
In looking at another image, I found the culprit:
A piece of tar strip!
Dirt.... certainly you jest!
Then you have the problem of the Riff-Raff parking wherever they want. Don't they see the sign clearly says "Porsche"!
(but wait, isn't Bentley a VW which is owned by Porsche?)
Hey OE!
Congratulations on your cover!
PS: How do you keep getting accurate photos of the color Orient Red? (To others--it's harder than you think to get this color right in a photo)
Thanks!
Orient Red in MN
Agreed, just because they have money doesn't make them smart.
I've gotta concur about the comments on photographing red - it's the hardest color to capture correctly. It drives me nuts.
Most of the time it just seems to come out OK, but other times I adjust the white, black, and midpoint color curves in photoshop. The other thing I do is to adjust the gamma of the photo.
Lastly, shooting in a low sun angle help get the color to pop.
