Thanks for the help, I will get a new cap and will see whether it helps, if not I have to change the tank.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, when I changed my spark plugs yesterday I saw that I'm loosing some coolant fluid, it's at the driever side at the front of the engine, see pictures. Any ideas where I can come from? - Juergen

POST 2Original post

Looks like the coolant tank to me. Pretty common. Is there fluid around your cap? Make sure you have the newest cap (part number that ends in -01, I think). If it's the tank, it seems to leak where you can't see it, in front of the engine There's a DYI for this if you want to try and fix yourself. A couple of hundred if you DYI, $500+ if not. Others will chime in, I'm sure. I was sure mine was the tank and it ended up buing the water pump, so be sure.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the help, I will get a new cap and will see whether it helps, if not I have to change the tank. How long will it take to change the tank? - Juergen

POST 5Original post

Clean off the oil seperator and make sure fluid is not coming for there.

POST 6Original post

no... it looks like its your Air/Oi seperator... there is coolant line (to cool off the vent air) attached to it. The bellows you see is attached to the AOS... plus with all that oil, it looks like your gonna need a new one.

POST 7Original post

Before you get too upset, all of these jobs (whichever one it ends up being) sould be less than a grand. If you DYI, a few busted knuckles, a lot of pride, and less than $500. You know how to do a search? Belong to RennTech yet? All are musts. Well, that plus donate to Rennlist

POST 8Original post

you are local to me and I may have this same repair for another reason, we should get together..... do you have a garage and tools? (I do...) not sure how you feel about a DIY....
