Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I knew there was something wrong with your air intakes.....they are missing the border around them like on the real turbo....yours are a little to clean.....mmmmhhh

Once you get it leveled out, you might want to consider spacers to push the wheels out a bit to better fill the wheelwells, especially in the rear.

The HP gain from the K&N kit will be the same HP gains you get from replacing the amber side markers with clear side markers.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Sorry to state the obvious but.....the airbox. You realize where the air goes from an air intake?
Are these maybe requiring a hole drilled into the side of the car so you can see through to the wheel?
Maci, do you have side shots of your car....Yours is a narrow body.... right? Interesting thing to do. I am not passing judgement, look what I drive....
Looks like they did a nice job, Your car overall looks great..... I wouldn't mess with it too much, just enjoy it.
Is your lower section of the front scratched?... I did a big one on mine, I tell people this is my "training Porsche"
thanks.........absolutely no scratches i use to drive a WHITE juiced HONDA (no ref to TIM) while back so i am used to a lowrider..............the only thing is the front is lower than the rear and i would like it to be the other way more of this GT2 stance..............

I think it looks pretty good and why would only a turbo have the side vents...boxster anf cayman have them!! I wouldn't have a bodyshop start cutting up my rear side panels and would buy turbo rear fenders...but if you car came with it and someone else did the dirty work....lucky you!
It is not like he is putting turbo on the engine cover......but maybe I am pathetic as well..since I got a modified turbo bumper in the back and turned my 99 into an 02
Nicolaas.....the single intake on the boxster and the dual side intakes on the TT are functional. They are NOT needed on the Carrera. But then again, I am sure you knew that.
Well , lets not go down that road... Not USED maybe
Not sure about not NEEDED.
maybe if they were hooked up to a K&N set up they could be used to keep heat out (the cold air intake) LOL.....
any idea if your are hooked up Maci?
<thinks, Dell is gonna slap me for that one>
actually i just recieved K/N kit yesterday which i will be instally very soon...got it for 280.00 free shipping............
........and if my side vents are not functional ,i will make them ----get more cool air into the engine area..........THANKS ALOT FOR THE INSIGHT>>>>>>>>
I bought the same kit, poured all that sheet metal out, looked at all those screws and thought.... do I really want to do this? Then I read about the K&N on here (do a search) and opted to sell mine for what I paid (on ebay, lost nothing but some time and some small fees)
Wish I had the sound, but as of now, still glad I didnt do it. You might want to ask around and/or do a search.... they have a "less than wonderful" reputation
If you install the K&N kit, you stand a good chance of the excess oil from the filter fouling your MAS and possibly ruining it. Replacement for the MAS is $350+ IIRC. The HP gain from the K&N kit will be the same HP gains you get from replacing the amber side markers with clear side markers.
HEY!
You never told me that!
You said there was NO GAIN, or even a possible power loss...
If I knew it added as much as clear bulbs I might have chopped my car up, drilled holes here and there and put that rickettey sheet metal thing with the foam tape around it in!
I must admit that the close up pics show that it isn't the hack job I was expecting. Still, something just doesn't seem right to me, but that is probably just a matter of personal taste.
I agree that the car needs to be leveled out. The front definitely needs to come up a bit. Once you get it leveled out, you might want to consider spacers to push the wheels out a bit to better fill the wheelwells, especially in the rear.
Just my $.02
