Have any of you had trouble keeping your IPOD charged? I have a generation 3 (the one with the dock, and the four buttons above the scroll wheel), and it wouldn't hold more than an hour. Just bought a replacement battery from newertech.com, for less than $30. I comes with a little plastic tool to open your IPOD, the battery, and instructions (which require a magnifying glass, so you're better off performing the surgery in front of a computer, so you can READ the instructions off their website)......I spent the better part of an hour trying to fit that tool between the plastic & metal, with no success....I did a GOOGLE search on OPENING AN IPOD, and found a great tip....press your thumb on the APPLE icon on the back of the IPOD, and eventually you'll hear a POP.....it ever so slightly loosens a clip....then follow the instructions as listed.....from there, you have less than a 5 minute job. I charged her up, and get 9 hours of play time. Pretty cool.
Now, if DENSION would only come through with their promise to us!!!!!
The battery life on my Mini stinks. It is now less than 3 hours of use once fully charged. Hopefully somebody will come out with a battery that lasts a true 8 hours.

nice... I need to get a new battery as well; the life on it sucks! I was weary about opening up the ipod at first, but it doesn't seem that bad... thanks for the info
I have a piggy back thing for my iPOD that holds 4 AA batteries. Works great for long trips where there is no access to a charger. Fortunately, I'm getting good battery life on the internal battery too.
It already exists.....the company I referenced above has longer life batteries for all versions of IPODS.....if for some reason they're out of them, do a GOOGLE on IPOD BATTERIES.....there's a bunch of companies doing it now.
I built a hardwired charger and audio input into my C2. No more worrying about battery life on trips, and the audio quality is better than with the CD changer.
