I went to a used car dealer to look at a 02 C2, the sell person said the car came with some kind of power package that boost the power to 345hp. Does such package exist? what is its option code?
Back and forth with what? Hitting the occasional shift key at the beginning of a sentence? I'm confused on this one.
Just so you understand all caps in typing represents yelling at somebody in text. You should really get over the laziness that you are feeling so nobody misinterprets your response.
Intake, heads, cams, headers, software, oiling package, etc.
It's an extensive package. I don't agree with vivid on this one. Nothing short of a supercharger is going to improve your car as much as the package. It is expensive though.
I'd ask them to produce the purchase receipt or offer some proof of installation. Since it won't be on the sticker (in '02), and much of it will be hard to verify through inspection, this is the kind of thing that less than reputable salesguys could use as a hammer.
I agree with JimB on this. This is a real upgrade package. It's arguable whether it's a good value, however, especially if you don't track the car. Most of the improvements are at higher revs.
I could take a picture tonight but you really don't need it. Sorry if this is overly simplistic but here is how you tell. Find the air box/air cleaner. It's the big black plastic box that dominates the engine compartment. It may have been replaced with a cone filter but it�s pretty obvious. It has a black plastic tube about 4 inches in diameter that runs to the throttle body. It is on the top of the engine right in the middle. The throttle body mounts to the intake. The intake covers the whole top of the engine but is mostly obscured. It looks like six large tubes (three going left and three going right, all interconnected) that run from the top-center of the engine to each cylinder. Like I said, it's a little bit hidden but still easy to see on top of the engine behind the throttle body.
If it's silver (alum) it's an X51. If it's black plastic, it's not.
Unless I'm missing something, it's as easy as that.
