Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I checked the PET, but they only show the complete headlight assembly.

Suggestion
Best way to find a set would be to buy it from someone who has the burnt out interior lens and bake off the cover.

My lenses are in good condition, but would prefer to use new ones since I am installing Bi-Xenons.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm trying to track down replacement headlight covers.
I would appreciate if someone would forward the Bosch part number that is on the early 996 - clear signal headlights. (pic shows example)
Would be nice to have new covers for my Bi-Xenon conversion.
No way, I searched a long time for headlight parts with no success. If you find them they are highly sought after and many many people would also like to know were to buy them. The only place I can think of outside the places it tried is a body shop cuz they have more resources for parts. Best of luck. Post findings
If they can't be found in the catalog, then they may not be available as an individual part (not new at least), especially the headlights. Right, salvage yard may be your only option.
I checked the PET, but they only show the complete headlight assembly.
I am going to call Bosch, but only have the Bosch part number for the amber lenses, would like the clears before I call. Also asked Sunset if they might know.

Unfortunately they don't sell the covers separately. You would have to buy the whole assembly. Best way to find a set would be to buy it from someone who has the burnt out interior lens and bake off the cover. Although now with your new upgrade and DIY it might be hard to find as now the ones with the burnt internals will do your mod and have a nice set of bi-xenons.
When you say 'they' I assume you mean Porsche. I'm checking to see if Bosch might have then (they manufactured them). I know it's unlikely, but worth the try.
"They" don't even sell the blinker socket by itself, $1k for a socket that broke? I got one for $15 from DC auto and then searched forever for inner lens when I bought a pristine set of headlights with burnt inner lenses, like I said good luck and post findings many people would love to buy parts
Talked to Bosch - very nice people, but no luck. Bosch USA doesn't list the part since it was part of an OEM assembly. Porsche probably only ordered enough for the assemblies.
I'm thinking about another path.
