Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all -- one of the few blemishes on my 996 when I purchased it was a scratched wheel rim (I guess from the prior owner brushing a curb). I added one of my own as well recently (yes, I am an idiot). I heard there are people who can "sand out" (?) these problems and blend them into the wheels? Couple of questions: (1) Has anyone done this and are the results good? (2) Any suggestions of people to use in South Bay area of Los Angeles? Pacific Porsche says they have someone that comes in, but I am looking for other suggestions. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

You can always tell that the rim has had work done to it, but for the most part you won't notice. I would have the rim repainted not just airbrushed. http://truwheel.com/
