Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys, I have a 996 x 51, 2003, in 2007 I replaced the engine with a new engine, now I have covered 20000 km. I noticed that between the engine and gearbox there 'a small oil leak, what can it be?

POST 2Original post

IT is hard to tell without pictures of te leak. Best guess is that it is either a RMS (Rear Main Seal) leak or an IMS (Intermediate Shaft) seal leak. My guess would be the RMS is leaking. Oh, and one more thing. DO NOT CUT THE SPRINGS!

POST 4Original post

rms... requires a tranny drop, $700-$1200 depending on who does it..... and while you're in there.... wait for it.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Then say that leaks oil from the bearing down? The engine and 'the second with 20000 km, ok?

POST 10Original post

From Shaft down = RMS From bearing down = IMS flange. .
