Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do i need to do PPI if I buy a Porsche Certifed car from Porsche dealer?

POST 2Original post

depends on the cost of the PPI. If anything I'd pull the history at the dealer....

POST 3Original post

I did (I got dealer to pay for it too). My concern was that Porsche Certified inspection is looking to cover THEIR butt for the short term (like two more years), but wouldn't necessarily worry about the same things I would for the longer-term (e.g., RMS history).

POST 4Original post

I agree with C4S Jim. Porsche is not watching out for you. They are watching out for themselves. You are paying a premium for a P/certified used car. Make them pay a premium for your business by by having them pay for a PPI at a dealer or shop of your choice by negotiating the price down at least for the cost of the PPI. Another thing, know exactly what their certification warranty covers and does not cover. Read the contract---there are specific exclusions, i.e. repairs that are not covered in the certification. Know what they are.
