From what I remember the underside of the GT3 mounts is flat with no provisions to guide the factory bearing/isolator...but can they still be used anyhow?

I had the Schnell camber plates on my car which were not flat on the bottom and had a guide to re-use the factory bearing and keep it in place.

Are you able to use the OEM bearing/isolator setup with the GT3 mounts?

I'm just worried I won't be able to use the upper isolator which will lead to noise...which is the reason I'm switching plates in the first place.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Are you able to use the OEM bearing/isolator setup with the GT3 mounts? From what I remember the underside of the GT3 mounts is flat with no provisions to guide the factory bearing/isolator...but can they still be used anyhow? I had the Schnell camber plates on my car which were not flat on the bottom and had a guide to re-use the factory bearing and keep it in place. Trying to decide on the Tarett plates which also have this guide or the factory GT3 mounts which are flat but less expensive. I'm just worried I won't be able to use the upper isolator which will lead to noise...which is the reason I'm switching plates in the first place. Andy
