So, I was thinking about using the adjustable rear control arms but am concerned that the ball socket ends would transmit too much road noise into the chassis.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am trying to get my car aligned ( 2000 C2 coupe with H&R springs) and the shop is having a hard time getting close to factory rear camber specs. The closest they can come is about 2 degrees 30 in the rear. If I drove mostly on the track that would be great but I rarely put the car on the track (that's what my 928 is for). So, I was thinking about using the adjustable rear control arms but am concerned that the ball socket ends would transmit too much road noise into the chassis. If any of you have done this could you please explain if this is a problem or not. I would really like to get the rear camber back to a factory setting so I am not eating up tires every 6 months or so. Thanks JIM
