Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

59 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Car looks awesome! 4S in red is just great looking. Nice work.

POST 3Original post

Man that car looks incredible! I love red 911 as much as 911s.

POST 8Original post

when the hell did you get the brombachers, arnee? looks siq man. specs?

POST 9Original post

Looks amazing! May I suggest you use a little Blue Magic chrome polish on your exhaust tips? It will get rid of those pesky carbon build ups between the two ovals...otherwise it looks perfect!

POST 10Original post

Very nice! Of course it's also the right color!

POST 11Original post

Your car looks awesome. It's worth all the effort when the finished product looks so good.

Just recently. 19x8.5 51mm, 19x11 32mm Thanks guys! Pongobaz, yeah, I didn't really spend time on the exhaust tips as I know that the carbon build up will come back later. I use some Mothers chrome polish for that.

POST 13Original post

Personally, I have never been a "red car guy" but your car couls make a convert out of me! It looks GREAT! After all of the work/effort/pleasure (choose two) the end result always makes it worth while. AWESOME!

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4927439

Thanks again guys. Tim, my back hurts and my fever isn't gone. You think it has something to do with me working on the car while sick with a cold and fever?

POST 15Original post

Looks hot. Just looking at your thread title, I had to guess that you were in SoCal. There were a bunch of nice cars out today.

POST 16Original post

that is just about perfect, nice stance, beautiful wheels, very tasteful mods

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4927507

yeah, I heard Cars & Coffee had alot of good cars that showed up this AM. You must have seen the bulk of them driving around since you're in Mission Viejo.

Coming from someone with a HOT black SC'ed 996 C2 Aero, thanks!

POST 19Original post

Quotes source post: 4927428

ahh, so you're working with 911 narrowbody spec wheels.

POST 20Original post

Arnee, the car looks stunning....great job! I love the black wheels with red exterior.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4927633

?? Are they? They fit fine w/o spacers and using stock lugs. I know your rears are 12" wide. Also, I'm using 235 fronts and 315 rears.

POST 23Original post

Quotes source posts: 4927428, 4927633

Ben, those are NOT narrow body specs! Rears @ 11" wide and 32mm offset! No way, no how will that fit on a narrow body! Those puppies would EXTEND an additional 46mm on my car compared to my current 10" with 65mm offset and be 1-1/4 inches OUTSIDE the fender.

POST 24Original post

Missed a spot! Just kidding. That is one sweet ride. I need a tissue to wipe my mouth.

POST 28Original post

Wow! Really makes me want to go out and wash mine. Too bad it's like 40 degrees now so not going to happen.

POST 29 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4927887

everyone... my back hurts today after doing all that. A lift for detailing (and working on) low cars would be nice. doh! I see the missed spot.

POST 30Original post

FUEGO!!! Pictures turned out fantastic Red/black is a combination I will never grow tired of. The rest of the comments you received say it all.

POST 31Original post

Well done, now get it dirty. What a nice looking 911.

POST 32 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 4929407

heh actually, she was dirty for a good 3 months. Yesterday was the first real wash/polish/wax I gave her in 3 months.... talking about the car.

POST 33Original post

Quotes source post: 4927734

i stand corrected. upon closer insp looks like the rear dish is just way too much dish for any narrowbody car to accommodate at 11". just odd why you'd go with 11s v. 12s since you're using 315s anyways. 12" is just insane steamroller.

POST 36Original post

Quotes source post: 4929522

I was just getting ready to ask if the wax you used was bikini wax!

POST 37Original post

looks SUPERB . It makes me SO uncomfortable knowing that I really need to wash and polish mine, but at 30 odd degrees outside.....it's tough. Damn, I envy you guys on the hot side of the country!

POST 38Original post

Don't be a wuss! Just did a driveway wash at 18F here in MN! Car looks great but there is a nice ice patch in the driveway. . .

POST 41Original post

Very nice, I know you must have spent a good chunk of your day on it, and it's certainly worth it. Look at that shine!

POST 42 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source posts: 4930273, 4930545, 4930512

heh thanks Yeah, I went slow and did everything including the black trim with a black trim restorer. All in all six hours and an aching back! I guess I'm not as young as I used to! eeps 18degF! Actually, wax won't even be effective if ambient temps are under 40degF or so. It will just be a solid piece and might not bond to the surface.

POST 43Original post

Quotes source post: 4930604

Exactly, that's why I was not doing it

POST 44Original post

Quotes source post: 4930512

I found a secret heated car wash a few minutes away. Hot water, I just bring my diapers and assorted stuff and do my summer hand wash routine indoors...no icy spots on the driveway.
