Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have used the Boston Acoustics Pro-series in the past to great success but like that the Focals fit right in.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do I remove the door panel on the driver's and Passenger's door? I want to measure and change out my speakers.

POST 3Original post

This from my stereo install thread: To remove the door panel unsnap the cover on the grab handle. Behind this are two T30 Torx screws. There is also a plastic screw in the armrest (careful, it strips easily), a 3mm allen screw behind the airbag plug, and a phillips screw behind the latch (I forgot to mark this one in the pic). The triangular panel near the rearview mirror unsnaps at the base and slides up. Once you remove all the screws the door panel unsnaps around the bottom, front and rear edges, then slide it up and out of the window seal channel. There's a few plugs to disconnect and the latch if you want it all the way off. The subs in the doors are 5" - 5 1/4" will fit, Focal 5WS fit perfectly.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok so there is something holding the Airbag on. I had everything loose except the Airbag plug. I'll look when I get home but I can't image where this allen is even viewing this picture.. Thanks also, for the heads up on the speaker size, at least now I may be able to order.

POST 5Original post

Careful when you pry the airbag button. It's a $35 part that has to be ordered. You can use twine to pull it. I scratch one and it took almost a week to order it.

POST 6Original post

Are the Focals the best sounding speakers to go with? I have used the Boston Acoustics Pro-series in the past to great success but like that the Focals fit right in.

POST 9Original post

I'm not sure if they're the "best" sounding, but they sound really good (with sufficient power). I was skeptical at first, but wanted to try them because my kids ride in the backseats and I didn't want to give up any room. Rod the Porsche stereo guru at http://www.caraudioinnovations.com/ helped me put together this system - he da mang.
