Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My headlight switch has markings for it to be pulled out twice once for foglights with amber light and farther with green light for I guess driving lights??? Not sure but I do not see any change in my halogen headlight assemblies. Is it maybe an option for the Xenon lights? Thanks in advance!
If someone would of told me these cars drove this awesome I would of bought one years ago!
You are correct that the first pull (amber light) is for the fog lights. The second pull (green light) activates the rear fog light. I say light (singular) because only the left rear fog light will illuminate, which is a European set up. I connected a jumper wire from the left rear fog light wiring harness to the right rear wiring harness to get the right rear fog light to work.
Is this true? I never heard that before and frankly, as I very rarely use the rear fog lighs and even more rarely stand behind the car when I do to examine the illumination configuration, it's all news to me.
The single rear fog light is a Euro thing. In the US it would probably attract unwanted attention as your average police officer might think something is wrong with the tail lights.
one rear fog light comes on (not both sides).
The assymetry is supposed to grab people's attention better as they come up from behind...i.e. they're more likely to have a "hey, what the f..." reaction, which is exactly what you want them to do when they come barrelling down on your backside in dense fog.
Sometimes the Europeans know what they're doing. I wouldn't wire up the right side rear fog. It wasn't done the way it was just to save a few cents on production costs (save cost of lighting right side).
Fog lights - don't get me going. I wish they'd never install them on anything! How many idiots do you get blinding you with fogs on a perfectly clear night?
In europe a single read fog is used to allow the driver in the car behind to recognize the difference between brakes lights and the fog light. Two fogs would look like the driver in front was braking.
Rgds,
Hi, The original owner who I bought it from had all the books less the radio manual in a box at his house that he had forgot about. It is supposed to be in the mail to me now along with a few other tidbits. Thanks though. do you have access to shop manuals? But I really do not want to make a mistake when it comes to this car!
I recall my BMW had a setup something like that. Never even once though it could be that way on this car. I'll look at it tonight, it would be nice to kn ow what it is.
Hi, well no luck on the rear tail light fog either. The amber light depicts a light bulb face with three horizontal lines angled down. The green depicts the same less the three lines are perfectly horizontal, just like an old school light letting you know the headlights are on??
