Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I killed a motor from having just ONE dirt filled rad.
Leading evidence: 'Fill rad' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I've used a shop vac to clean all the crud out but I now want to rinse with water.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
I was board this morning so I decided to remove my bumper so I could do some paint touch ups. One thing led to another and now I'm cleaning my rads.
I've used a shop vac to clean all the crud out but I now want to rinse with water. Right now here in Canada it is supposed to drop to -15 degrees. Do I run the risk of the water freezing and causing damage? The car is currently stored in an insulated garage but it is not heated.
Just me but I would rinse them with a power washer and put the bumper back on and go for a drive to dry it off....or if you have a leaf blower use that after you wash them.
Thanks guy's. I used the leaf blower a few times and it worked great. Now my rad's are all clean for the spring.
This is what it looked like before I cleaned them
We actually offer a Radiator / Intercooler fin tool that works great for various different makes if you want to get out debris that the leaf blower might have left behind.

hey Mike, how was the removal of the bumper?? any issues?
seems like alot of debris in there, and of course there has to be a cigarette butt, lol.
im gonna clean mine out soon, fabspeed stuff arrived today, waiting for warmer weather then gonna install.
Just used a garden hose. It worked well.
No problem removing the bumper. The hardest part is removing the screw located behind the wheel well liner. Once you get that the rest is a breeze. It's a very easy DIY maintenance item.
I wouldn't be concerned with the water freezing. Once the coolant starts moving through the radiators any frozen water on the outside of the radiator will melt.
As far as the frozen water damaging the radiator (before coolant can warm it up), I wouldn't worry about it. My STi had a very large front mount intercooler, in winter it worked so well that by the time the hot air made it to the cold side of the intercooler it was below freezing and the intercooler would ice over. I never had a problem with the core cracking from ice.
Well done. I'm planning on doing the same in the spring.
That radiator fin comb is available at Princess Auto (Canadian version of Harbor Freight) for around $10.
The Matco tool man has a great tool for "back blowing" any radiator! I killed a motor from having just ONE dirt filled rad. Do yourself a favor, get rid of the Sumitomos if you want to go around a corner! I tried china tires ONCE......................NEVER AGAIN, Yokohama 888's work amazing on track, or on vacation.
Thanks for the input but these came with the car and I am not replacing them until they are worn out. I don't track the car and quite honestly they are performing just fine for me.
