I'll run this oil over the winter months in both cars and then decide what to run come spring and warmer weather.

In Santa Clara, Speed Merchant may carry the oil. (Though I do not know if this business still exists. I haven't shopped there in many many years.)
A Google search leads me to believe that Gotelli (
www.gotellispeedshop.com
) up on El Camino (way up El Camino very close to SF) may carry the oil. I tried to find this oil on its web site though and did not find it listed. But maybe the online store offers it.
Or a motorcycle parts/accessories shop that caters to high performance motorcycles may carry the oil.
Or Google the oil and you'll get hits of sites from which you can order the oil.

Good tip! I just visited its web site and Motul oil is offered.
I might end up there for oil soon. Just tried to buy 4 cases of Mobil 1 5w-50 from my local (and very nearby) Mobil 1 oil distributor and it is out of stock of that oil and tells me it can take a week or so to get some special ordered.
While the distributor carries Mobil 1 5w-40 oil both are for Mercedes cars only, one oil for Mercedes with gasoline engines and one for Mercedes with diesel engines. Neither oil is approved (no A40 on the bottle) for Porsches.
My 996 Turbo needs an oil change like now -- just got back from a 5K mile road trip! -- so I'm buying 4 cases of Mobil 1 0w-40 oil from the distributor at a per case (6 quarts) price of $48.11 or $8.01/quart and will drop the car and the oil off at the dealer Tuesday for an oil/filter service.
I'll run this oil over the winter months in both cars and then decide what to run come spring and warmer weather. Heck I might just stay with Mobil 1 0w-40 oil.

I was just hoping some chain had it so I didn't have to drive over there if I didn't have to. It's good oil but unfortunately hard to find.
