Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I noticed a few oil drips under the car (99C2) towards the end of a track day, seems to be coming from the left front of the engine (looking from the back of the car) as it has coated the rear axle adjustment mounting and everything to the rear. No leak on normal road driving. Any ideas?

Hey Kevin missed you this weekend at DE. Good to see you on rennlist finally. Check out the Canadian section as well. Greg check out this link https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...light=oil+leak

POST 4Original post

Drivers side front of motor could very easily be the AOS (Air Oil Separator).

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys, good links, umm looks like it's time to levitate the old jalopy. Couldn't make the DE Greg, family stuff. Heard you made Black, congratulations - guess it's just the Renndays I'll see you on the track - when I'll have to sharpen up my entry speed. Thanks Kev

Thx, having the 3 days in a row I was hitting 10km more through most of the corners by Sunday. It's been a huge improvement since the Wednesday's rennlist track day. Maybe I'll see you at Octoberfest at the Musket, or maybe I'll talk my wife into Dunville and instruct her since she missed this weekend's DE. She was a bit upset she couldn't go.
