Had a reason to go look at the MAF on my 2000 C4 today. May replace it. The fasteners that attach it to the top of the air cleaner are unusual. Looks like a torqx with a hollow center is needed. What is this?

I didn't have the tool, used some good pliers to break the screws loose and replaced with some conventional ones. I did it on my '99 996 and also the Boxster.

That is where I got mine. Wished I could have just got the one that fit...had to buy a set. Found that out when I installed my Fabspeed intake.

You're lucky that you just now have to replace it. Most of them don't last that long. Mine was six or seven years old when the first one failed.
