Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a new to me set of wheels coming that will need some cosmetic touch up for what I want to use them for. ie street wheels.
The are the BBS 2 piece Porsche Sport Designs for the 996.
Currently the centers are powdercoated black and the lips are silver.
If you have any pictures to share even better!
Here is a picture of the current wheels.
Thanks and I appreciate everyone's input.

Personally I really love these whels (obviously as they're on my car). but I think the design makes them look small on the car when the centers are dark or color changed.
I vote for Silver!
But you could color match the centers...or go gold centers for the motorsport look.
Ray-yes my guards red car.
Andy-I know silver would be cool too. Hadn't even thought of gold hmmmmm. I don't know how color matched centers would look. I would be afraid that it would be too much red lol.
Trying to find some pics of a red car with black wheels or wheels with black centers as that seems to be the path of least resistance. I don't know how much work/$$ it will be to have a shop strip off the black and put on silver vs redoing what is already there.
I better find that photoshop disk to reinstall (newly rebuilt pc due to hd failure). Not that I have any worthwhile PS skills at all.
Mr. C4 has black center sport designs on his MkI GT3
I was gonna buy some 19' mesh street wheels for my car with gold centers as I really like that look but the Mrs. veto'd that decision with a quickness. Since she drives the car more than me on the street I decided to leave well enough alone.
nice.. anybody photoshop?? I found a pic on rl of a MK1 GT3 with Black wheels with red lips (nothing I am considering). Anybody able to change em to silver. I wonder how gold would look on the centers, it is kinda nice if the right color.
Here are my Kinesis wheels powdercoated all black. I really like the look. They took a while to grow on me. They are the easiest wheels to keep clean by far. I have seen several high end 911s with wheels that are all black, with a body colored ring painted around the lip (time attack?).
Paul - I voted Silver, and here is why.
While the black would look good on your car, the dark color would hide most of the detail in the spokes. The silver would enhance the detail. Since they are such good looking wheels, hiding the detail would be, IMO, a shame.
Thanks for the input so far guys. A few of you threw some interesting curve ***** out with the motorsport gold look; will have to photoshop that before making a final decision.
Silver is very classic and shows the wheel's details.
Black look tough with the silver lip and happens to still work on GR
I voted for all silver
BUT
what I think would be "nice" is if you painted the center silver and polished the lip. It's a small enough lip that it won't be too "bling."
BTW, I'm tired of the bling look and will be selling my Work Brombachers. Turbo Twists FTW.
