Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

At what temperature will you swap into your winter tires?

POST 2Original post

when the temp is consistently below 5 c. Usually mid November.

POST 3Original post

Here's a tag-on question that is VERY basic....I'm shopping for a winter tire setup. The rims I was looking at (to go with a narrower 10" width on my 04 C4S) require an 18mm spacer. Do I need new bolts for this setup? Tom in CT

POST 4Original post

Hi Tom....I assume you are referring to a spacer on the rears? I think that you will need new bolts, no matter what size the spacer will be. I ended up ordering new bolts from the spacer provider, the name escapes me, but they know what bolts I would need based upon my car. Make sure they know you have a C4S. I did 10's on the rear rather than 11's....just made sense to not go so wide on the rears. It's absolutely incredible driving in the snow, just watch out for the stupid idiots out there. Have Fun!! I'll swap tires when temps hover in the low 40's high 30's. Check Tirerack.com, they also post temps to change over.
