Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I thought everything was just a plug and play install untill I ran into a problem.
Leading evidence: 'Run into a problem' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run into a problem' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just acquired some like new litronics headlights for my 99 C2.
I thought everything was just a plug and play install untill I ran into a problem.
Seems that once the litronics were installed, the left headlight small bulb stays on, along with the left side marker light.
If I turn the light switch in the car 1 click to the right, the right headlight small bulb cmes on and the left headlight goes out.
When I turn the light switch in the car all the way to the right, all the headlight and fog lights come on as they should.
When I turn the light switch to off (all the way to the left), the right headlight small bulb and right side marker light comes on again. Auhhhhh!
What is going on?
I assumed that the existing wiring would work fine with the new litronics.
I realize that all the functions of the litronics will not work without the retrofit wiring harness and control unit.
Please help!!
Are you sure your not turning on the parking light. If you turn all the way past off it turns on the parking light first on the right and the next click on the left side. My understanding is that the only thing you lose by not rewiring for the litronics is the leveling for the high beams.
I know you said you just got the Litronics Retrofit Kit...did you just get the car too? "Off" is actually in the middle -- the position with the "dot". "All the way to the left" turns on the passenger side (right side in the US) parking light.
The Litronics Retrofit Kit is plug and play. Just pop out the old halogen headlight assemblies and pop in the Litronics and you're good to go. However, you won't get the headlight rotation when you turn on the high beams. To get the headlight rotation you need to install the control unit and wires (they should have come with the kit).
The Litronics Retrofit Kit is only for 1999-2001 cars (pre-facelift). The headlight design changed in 2002. So to answer your question, no, it is not that simple. Talk to Eli @ Pelican Parts. He replied in a previous thread regaring Litronic upgrades for 2002+ cars and can give you some info.
SRao,
I found the old thread:

Guess what...you started it! I thought I felt a deja vu moment!
Thanks everyone!
I think everything is OK now.
I reinstalled the lights and they are working properly now.
Must have been not all the way pushed in.
No fuse problems yet - guess I will eventualy switch out the fuses.
Thanks again!
