I think Porsche is going to start to market to younger and younger populations, like college students, where a 25,000.00 car the size of a Jetta with a Porsch logo would fill the bill...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

FYI... The new 4th model is identified as the "Familia", a high performance mini-van. Accoding to the press release that appears in the April 2005 edition of Anzeiger, (publication of the Oregon Region Porsche Club of America). Because of the lack of production capability the introduction of the mini-van will delay the C4 and turbo versions of the 997 until 2008! The entry model Familia will be a 6 cylinder (4 valves per) @250bhp and will be available in Europe this November and in the US sometime in 2006. US list price is $39,950. Seats 7 with 'excellent' performance, i.e. 0-60 in 9.1. Available with a Tip or a six speed. Will be marketed as a high performance mini-van. Targeted group: Porsche drivers who may own a low perfomance mini-van, station wagon or a SUV besides a Porsche. It is being touted as a 'real' Porsche... ---------------------------------------- What next...a 'real' porsche to compete directly with a Civic or KIA!!

POST 4Original post

haha, that's gotta be a sick joke.. 0-60 in 9.1 seconds. haha.. ..and if it is true, no longer will any of us be able to say "i have a porsche"... when people ask us what we drive.. they may think we have the minivan for heavans sake.. the old days of porsche are gone... just gotta accept it.. porsche in a few years will be just like any other european car manufacturer...

POST 7Original post

That's not bad for an APRIL edition !!! Actually the models I'm waiting for are: The Amphibian Porsche (based on the WW2 schwimmwagen), The Electric Porsche (0 to 60 in 4 secs - and a class winner at Le Mans 2010) The New Porsche Tractor (don't laugh - the '59 super model is still the fastest diesel from Porsche) The two wheel drive Porsche bike.....work that one out !! ......is it the 1st of April yet - when can I release the press statement? Oh yea, my real press release will contain a proposal to put most of the GT engine in the Gayman SS

POST 8Original post

Goood morning to you all as well. Always good to start the day with a joke . I may actually buy a Porsche minivan!

POST 9Original post

That's exactly why I say I drive a 911 so there is no confusion with the SUV soccer moms.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

[QUOTE=JimPDX]FYI... The Article concludes with ERSTER APRIL NAR...meaning APRIL FOOLS! Jim

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You're right...way down at the very bottom of the page it says "Erster April Narr"...April fools...

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I can't wait for the amphibian...the article in the mag was an April fools joke...

POST 14Original post

the sad thing is, in a few years it may not be a joke...

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You are probably right. I think Porsche is going to start to market to younger and younger populations, like college students, where a 25,000.00 car the size of a Jetta with a Porsch logo would fill the bill...

POST 16Original post

Nah, If you want to start a good rumour how about...... "Porsche decide to buy Smart from Mercedes (Chrysler)" Just imagine a Porsche version of the smart roadster, crossblade etc, etc,... It's about as be;lievable as Porsche will build an off-roader..:-)
