This just started this week. On my 04 C4S, neither of the headlights turns on when I first start the engine and then turn on the dashboard lights switch. Turning the light switch on and off does not turn the lights on. However, after a couple of minutes of running the engine, turning the lighs switch turns on the lights and they stay on until I turn off the engine. Anyone ever experience this? Any thoughts?

Light relay faulty? Needs the higher "charging Voltage" to turn on rather than the 12 Volts from the battery?

I'm voting ignition or headlight switch issue. However, as 99Firehawk so astutely points out, take it to the dealer if it is still in warranty.

I had a similar problem. I don't know if you have the headlamp washers fitted, but I found that if I activated the headlamp washer the light would then come on. My problem has now gone away. I think a dirty connection may have been the cause.
