I just bought a 2003 996TT with the non-navigation Bose system. It has a regular DIN sized radio (model CDR23). I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade to a unit with the full sized display? Has anyone done this or know if it is possible?

Do a search on after market radios. Many have done it with either single din or double din kenwoods or pioneers.

You can't use an aftermarket head unit unless you rewire the whole car and replace the Bose unit. The fiber optic cables aren't compatible with any aftermarket head unit. I already tried. I was talking about a Porsche radio upgrade using the radios that come in cars with full size screens.
