Re: my 996, I have read a few threads with people who have installed these and feedback is positive for the most part.
Leading evidence: 'Install these and feedback is positive' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install these and feedback is positive' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I ran Pss9 on my VW's and they were actually a bit on the soft side for my taste on the street.

That is why I now run Full race custom shocks for track days and just regular sport shocks for the street.

I can get a set of decent used GT3 coils for less than a set of pss9's, so might just try them out and see how they feel.

Suggestion
If you are doing the GT3 susp w/ GT3 sway bars then you can just use the stock GT3 drop link.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have heard plenty of people say it is no problem....I tried to do it myself but it was just out of my budget range so I opted for something else.
BTW - welcome to Rennlist, and take a moment to intruduce yourself, post up a couple pics of the car and stick around.... its always fun here!!!
Thanks. I just spent 8 hours polishing out all the paint. All stock except added some Agency Power mufflers for a little sound increase.
Been a member for a year or so, just got into a running Pcar again so will be around and posting more.
I have them on my car, I think the ride is great. Overall, I obviously prefer it, but it can get choppy at times. If you don't do track events, I wouldn't bother. If the car's dual purpose, they're a brilliant trade off.
Street only use? not really worth it. Dual purpose track use and street... Perfect.
I may have been one of the first to fit these on a C2.
The ride is excellent on any well kept road or highways. Broken up city streets, cobblestone, rail road crossings, etc will have you hating life as well as being very un-female friendly.
If you can get yourself a ride in a GT3. That is pretty much what it will feel like. IMHO not too harsh at all.
I have them on my 2003 C2 for street/track and really like them. Friend with GT3 can't believe how nice it rides on the street. Benefit is that you can lower the car. When I bought the car I felt it looked like a giraffe. Mechanic says that this is probably the ideal set up as the GT3 has too much compliance taken out and hence rides real stiff.
Yeah hope my engine does not blow up...LOL
Fact or fiction?????
Thanks everyone for the input. If Figured they would be a good dual purpose set-up.
What would be a good price for a set or used GT3 coils?
This will not be a full race car so I do not want a race coilover system with knock your teeth out stiffness. I ran Pss9 on my VW's and they were actually a bit on the soft side for my taste on the street. That is why I now run Full race custom shocks for track days and just regular sport shocks for the street.
Re: my 996, I have read a few threads with people who have installed these and feedback is positive for the most part. I am sure the ride is stiff, but not like full race suspensions...
IMO, PSS9 and the GT3 suspension will not feel that different. If you find the PSS9 soft, you probably won't like the GT3 either. Neither is anywhere close to a racing suspension. I guess you could put 600/800 springs in your car...

I don't want it that stiff either because I live in Baltimore, MD were the streets are really horrible. Bad as NY roads...lol
I can get a set of decent used GT3 coils for less than a set of pss9's, so might just try them out and see how they feel. Have to be better than stock 99 C2 suspension...
Be sure you get everything you need. A lot of people buy springs and dampers as a "good deal" and then have to buy spring perches, upper mounts, etc. to get them to work. Some get new wheel carriers, but I don't think they are necessary. Don't forget lower control arms and sway bars. Ultimately, it may be cheaper, but not much - and you don't have the PSS9 adjustability.
You should ask Paul about his transformation, or just ready his thread.

Just read the threads about this. I found a guy with complete assembled Gt3 Coils with perches and springs, mounts and all. No control arms and swap bars sourced yet. Do I need the control arms to mount these coils? Still learning about these cars...
+1 you don't need control arms. The GT3 susp literally bolts into a C2 nothing else needs to be changed.
The stock GT3 susp already has camber compensation in the monoball strut mounts that won't negatively effect caster.
GT3 sway bars are a must.. If you are doing the GT3 susp w/ GT3 sway bars then you can just use the stock GT3 drop link. You don't 'Have to have" adj drop links unless you are building a track car that needs to be perfectly corner balanced.
