Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In '04 it says "Vehicle involved in crash with another vehicle." If the PPI comes back clean (and I have an aftermarket warranty) is that still grounds to discount the car's value?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello folks -
After a bunch of helpful advice from rennlisters, I'm
thinking of buying an '02+ 996 cab for my first car
. I've read the ultimate guide, etc. and think I have a pretty good feel for what I should be looking for and how I should go about the purchase process.
That being said, I'm having a tough time screening for potential cars. I don't own a car now and MA has limited inventory anyway, so seeing them in person is fairly tough.
In order to get a feel for the market, I'm surfing the internet/forums, but I don't know how to value various options
.
Case in point, there's a '03 C4 CAB available from a rennlist-suggested dealer (broker? restorer? not sure what to call them) near me.
They're asking $53k for the car (details below). Cars from AutoTrader in the <35k miles range appear to be around $40-45k. But the options packages are completely different and hard for me to value.
The Edmonds valuation (below) seems inaccurate, e.g. 1.) I gather rennlisters don't think tiptronics should command a premium, 2.) all the nav/bose/audio etc. is 5 yrs old and likely obsolete, and 3.) the 14k miles sounds like this car wasn't properly "loved."
If you could please explain why this price seems fair or not, it'd be great. And while I appreciate "this should be worth XYZ," I'd be even happier if you could explain why (teach me to fish vs. giving me a fish, so to speak).
I've listed the options and website below. Thanks everyone for your help!

Also, I understand I should discount for a 2 owner car. Is that still the case if the first owner only owned it for 4 months (I'm assuming he bought something he couldn't afford, but I guess it could mean there was something wrong)?
Another question is how worrisome is the accident indicator in CarFax? In '04 it says "Vehicle involved in crash with another vehicle." If the PPI comes back clean (and I have an aftermarket warranty) is that still grounds to discount the car's value?
