All, thanks for the tips, what pads do you use, assumping it is deposition, will it just go away with use?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
My DE driving buddy has a problem with his C4S brakes. They judder on brake application both slow and high speed. The car is about 18 months old has covered about 5,000 miles almost all of them on the track, driven hard.
They Judder only started on the last track day. His pads are OEM and with plenty of material left on them, the discs look OK, he has blown out the cross dilled holes with an airline. I reckon they have warped? Your views?
Any experience of problems with C4S brakes?
What chance of getting them sorted out by the OPC (car still under warranty) or no chance given they are brakes and with the track use? Any experiences of this with the stealership?
TIA
John
Yup, the rotors are warped. And, sorry, nope they are not covered by warrantee. You might make a case for low mileage and 18 months old, they don't have to know that it was tracked, but I doubt you'll get anywhere. Can't hurt to ask, though.
I'm on my second set of rotors due to wear, and have never had it judder. Next time tell your DE buddy to make sure to do a good cool down lap or even run around the parking lot.
You can have them turned and probibly (hopefully) take most of the warpage out. That will take the shutter out for a while. But it will come back and continue to wear / warp the same. Especially since you will be treating them with the same use. But it will last for a while.
Vorland,
Very worrying but a good idea - i will check
All, thanks for the tips, what pads do you use, assumping it is deposition, will it just go away with use? or does it need skimming? I had the disks on my '993 skimmed by the OPC which made the problem worse.
Thanks
John
