Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

have to wait 2 months b/c wheels just came out but i think theyll look really good on my car. new dunlops are new too and tires for rear (18x11) are only $180 per! rears weigh only 18 lbs!

POST 2Original post

Dunlop is called an LCR in the tire biz. Low Cost Radial. It's a cheapie for that reason. Sort of a loss leader. Doesn't mean it's a bad tire, but understand why it's half the price of a Michelin. Nice wheels man.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah i know, i told him i wanted a track tire not r rated that would last more than 3k miles. since ill roast them anyway best to go with the cheapie!

POST 4Original post

Cheapie or not, the SP Sport Race is an excellent R-compound tire. Has great dry grip and wet performance is on par with any high quality maximum performance tire. Don't let the price fool you into thinking it's inferior to anything. Many GT3 owners are using it and there is a lot of talk on this tire on the GT3 forum.

POST 6Original post

I just got done taking that Dunlop "special" around ButtonWillow and was able to be within 2 secs of the MPSC guys. The track is approx 3 miles in length, so 2 secs is not that bad. This was also my first track day in any Porsche. I would say its a great tire and I am getting another set before the price goes up.
