Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

This is not a factory part and has not been aero tested for the C4S.
Leading evidence: 'Test c4s' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test c4s' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I took my X5 for service at Tischer BMW and spotted this blue C4S with a wing on their lot. You can see the pictures below. I kind of like it! Any idea who makes it? Is it an original T-Equipement wing?
thanks,
It's actually called the Carrera wing. I have it and like it very much. I don't really like the one that goes up and down - it just seems gimmicky to me.
Manny, I could always be wrong! I gave it only a short look.
I believe it is revearsable. That was my question as well.
Nice car, it was a little too bling for me.
It is either Techart or the RUF or the Carrera? Not quite quite sure as it looks a little larger than my Carrera wing. They are very close but the RUF one is just a little bigger.
LOL. No that is a by-product of my crappy cell phone that tinges everything purple. The color was blue, I'd guess Lapis blue. It had the sport tekno wheels. Sharp looking car if anyone is looking for a C4S
Yea, think you are right the more I look. No, does not move. You remove all the moving stuff and good luck putting it back together
I am never going to try as I just ripped the old one out with no regard for re-assembly.
It might also be a clone of the aero wing. Notice the large gap behind the wing where it mates with the rear of the car. The factory wing should fit better than that. That is why the factory wing is much more expensive.
Looks like the Mashaw "996 Carrera Aero Kit Rear Spoiler"

This is not a factory part and has not been aero tested for the C4S.
The dealership selling this car should be willing to subtract $2000-$3000 for the non-stock part, but getting the original hardware painted to match will cost more.
I do not believe this is the RUF, unless there is a drastic difference between the C2 and C4 version. My RUF C2 wing has two semi-oval scoops for air with no vents, and the wing flares out farther and smoother. This wing is a lot smaller with vents.
