Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tis the season I guess... But since the nice weather has arrived, you guys are all starting posting pix of your rides, covered with all sorts of do dads. Youre making us Newbies jealous. One item that caught my attention was the aftermarket Pedals. My gut tells me to go with the permanent mounted Porsche pedals that are screwed down but part of me is intrigued by the Snap lock system I have seen online. Has anyone had any success with the snap lock pedals?? I originally saw them on the Suncoast Porsche web page http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/m..._Code=POTE996IN

POST 2Original post

Dominick: I like the permanent type. I installed the EVO style pedals on my car and they look great!! Easy DIY install. I paid roughly $225.00 for the entire set, foot rest, clutch, brake, and accelorator.

POST 3Original post

manny - you mean evolution motorsports? I bought those and haven't fitted the brake/clutch yet as they seem to be a universal fit rather than a perfect fit. If it fits flush at the top of the pedal then the botton is a half inch or so off and vice versa. The shape is just wrong (the foot rest and gas pedal fit fine). How did you fit them flush?

POST 4Original post

Yes I have the evolution motorsports pedals. I fit both brake and clutch so that the aluminum pedals are centered over the steel pedals. I just then mark the holes, drilled and secured them withthe screws. Here is a pic of the pedals installed. I do not have a close-up view but it shows how they came out. Good luck in your install!!

POST 5Original post

Go for the permanent ones. Not hard to mount, took about an hour... I got these on eBay, less than $200 I think... I positioned the brake pedal slightly closer to the accelerator pedal for better heel-toe, you should have a fair bit of comfort with projects. Nothing is ever as smooth as it should be (getting nuts on the back, getting the dead pedal to be solid, etc.), so you have to be creative. Generally, though, this is a pretty easy mod. Here's a pic of my final install...

POST 7Original post

Discoganya: Did you read the first post to this thread? There is a reference to the very thing you just asked about. It's a bit pricey for me though...close to $250 for the option of snapping it on rather than permanently affixing it with screws....I'm not sure the difference in price is worth it. This is one instance where I think it's a bit better to get screwed.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
