I use a BMC air filter (same as Porsche uses in their race cars) - and I do not have an erratic idle.

I started a poll to see if a larger percentage of the cars of people that use the standard K&N Air Filters have a hunting or erratic idle since it has been mentioned that the oil from those filters can get on mass airflow sensors and cause them to need to be replaced in cars with the cone style air intakes. I had been using the standard style K&N Air Filter and definitely have a mild hunting or erratic idle.
