Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As I search for a used Pcar, I've found that quite a few are available in the Miami area. Do I need to be concerned about rust or other effects from the high humidity and salt water around Miami? I'm looking at MY02 and 03 cars, so they've probably been exposed to that environment for as much as two years. Thanks, Longhorn911

POST 2Original post

Longhorn: Unless the car has been parked outside close to the beach the entire time it shouldn't have a problem with the interior. The Porsche corrosion warranty is 10 years so you'd still be covered by that for many more years on a MY02 or 03 car.

POST 3Original post

Should not be a problem. I looked at a lot of P cars in Miami and none had rust.

POST 4Original post

Rust and/or salt damage not your biggest concern...reputation of the dealer is of more importance. Many, many dealers in the miami area with "high end" cars....less are of the "reputable" nature. Check the reputation of the dealer!! Jim
