Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

I checked tirerack, and it appears that you can get the M3s in the right size for the front, but they don't appear to be avail in 265/35 or 285/30 for the rear...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know the difference? Is the M3 just the newer version? Porsche recommends / approves the M2 for all of there vehicles, but according to a comparison of the 2 tires on tirerack, the M3 out performs the M2 in all categories..... So get what porsche recommends, or get the newer version of the same tire (apparently)??? Anyone? Anyone? TIA

POST 2Original post

Since I just bought M2s from the TireRack a month ago, I was pretty curious about your post. I checked tirerack, and it appears that you can get the M3s in the right size for the front, but they don't appear to be avail in 265/35 or 285/30 for the rear... FWIW, I'm happy with the M2s thus far. We've been using them for a couple years on our audis with great results.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Stiles, they DO make an M3 in 265/35, but seems like they can only be had in Europe: http://www.sicherbestellen.de/cgi-bi....pl?typ=509192 Scheise!!!

POST 4Original post

Well, I suppose the good news is that I've found the M2 to be a great tire in the winter, AND it's approved by Porsche.
