I have not lost one yet, but I gather they are also at least $250 to replace, I don't think the Porsche one is so much.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have weird question, I think... I like how the Cayenne keys are switchblade like and was wondering if there was any way to get a Cayenne-type key for our 996's?

POST 2Original post

I think that KEYFOB is only available with and compatible with the CAYENNE/Tourag Twins.....but maybe NOT...... Just dont change your badge to Cayenne....PLEASE!!!

POST 3Original post

Yes, that is a standard VW design. Careful what you wish for, I have had both types for five+ years now and IMO the bulky VW ones are somewhat more annoying as they are even larger than the already case-challenged Porsche units. I have not lost one yet, but I gather they are also at least $250 to replace, I don't think the Porsche one is so much.
