Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My Aluminum Gauge Rings arrived from Brandywine Porsche yesterday afternoon. Installed them last night. I like the way these look. Here are some pics. 17 Gazillion more mods and I'll catch up with Dell!

POST 2Original post

Looking good Tim!!!! 'Bout time you joined the rest of us in the 21st century

POST 3Original post

Looks awesome,Tim. I am thinking about doing some rings on my ride. I am thinking of red gauge faces and silver/chrome rings. Ugly and attractive all in one.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dell - Thanks! It isn't easy trying to keep up with the "Dell's" of the world. However, I think I'll pass on getting a MAC! I want to be able to see the Porsche Configurator. Sorry, I couldn't resist! John, you know if do those mods, you'll have to post pics! Do you have any thing else in the interior of your car that is red?

POST 5Original post

Looks nice. I did the same with mine a few months back. Looks good with the savanna interior.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Neil - Yes, they do look good with the Savana Beige. In fact, when I did a search on "gauge rings" last weekend, I remember seeing your pic along with some others. On Monday, I ordered my rings.

POST 8Original post

now you need to add the carbon fibre instrument surround. It is expensive but would look really good with the grey interior. i put up some shots of mine quite a few months ago. And BTW, i found the rings really made the silver gauges look a lot better. I was going to swap out my original silvers until i installed the rings. If i remember correctly, i believe one of the 9 rings of the humans was really a set of these things!

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cpa4S - You are probably right about the 9 rings, because ... there is no substitute. The CF look hasn't really grown on me yet (thank goodness - because of the cost) so I am going to pass on that one for now. However, I will do a "search" for your posted pic to see how it looks on the grey interior.

POST 10Original post

has anybody installed colored gauge faces on a 2002 or later porsche? i am thinking about buying a car with the black stock gauge faces and want to switch to the white gauge faces. one of the service techs said the newer instrument clusters were more difficult to remove the pins and get them to work after installing the new colored gauge face. tia

POST 11Original post

... Looks good Tim...any thoughts on getting a clear bra now and maybe a cupholder

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here is a thread with step-by-step instructions. His original "link" didn't work so go to the last post for the instructions. He said to email him for pics. Hope this helps.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jim - I thought I would get my "skirts" before the "bra."

POST 14Original post

We stock the factory aluminum rings as well. If anyone is in need, feel free to email me, and mention your Rennlist membership for a discount. [email removed]

POST 15Original post

Eric, I owe you a call. Might be able to get by today.

POST 16Original post

Looks great! Does anyone have a pic with just the rings on a pre 2002 car?

POST 17Original post

Eli, I assume you mean to see the black gauge faces? Check out my car . . . it should give you an idea. Mine has black gauge faces and the rings. TD

POST 20Original post

Quick question-I have the factory aluminum look/white guages with factory painted surround(Artic Silver). Do you guys think the silver trim rings would look good or get lost in all the other silver? Right now the black seems to add some contrast. Thanks, Tracy
