Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The AOS is out...it may actually be ok, it appears that the last person to work on it over tightened the screw clamp on the lowers bellows.
Leading evidence: 'Tighten screw clamp' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Tighten screw clamp' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

They also used single use clamps on all of the lines that attach to the AOS.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am in the process of changing out my AOS.
The process has gone very smooth (thanks to the DIY on Renntech).
I did however manage to drop the 6th bolt (front of engine) and have not been able to find it.
I've checked Pelican and Suncoast and while they have exhaust manifold bolts, I can't find any for intake.
Could someone help me out with an online source for hardware of this nature?
I am concerned as well, and will conduct a search tonight (I have the magnet).
I think it dropped off the front of the motor and is hung up on the AOS so am hopeful that it shows up when I pull that out.
I looked at a diagram to see if there was anything the bolt could foul up if I cant find it...I couldn't find anything mechanical or "open" where it could cause damage, but that's just after a quick look at at a diagram...
Is there anything in the "void" between the plenums that it could foul on ?
If its around the AOS you may be able to reach it with the magnet from under the car. If you have an 02+, as you pull the AOS up to remove it, its possible the bolt could fall down that hole too, so be careful!
Thanks Mark,
I ordered 3 bolts just I'm case. The customer service rep was very helpful and added them in to an existing order.
I am going to search for the bolt tonight as we'll pull the old AOS.
Bolt located and recovered, it was hanging between intake runners.
AOS is next, but I have to find a vac line schematic as I broke one that runs under th plenum and I can't readily identify the termination point. It originates from a 4 way "valve" that sits just inboard of the top of the AOS. One of the connections on the valve was not connected to anything and the lower clamp on the AOS is an aftermarket screw type so it appears I am not the first hamfisted dork to have done this.
Anyone else notice the parts diagram shows - I'm not even sure what that is - but it's not an intake manifold. Maybe that's why he couldn't find the bolts?
You are correct, the parts diagram appears to be some sort of self tapping screw.
Also, the description indicates that there are 8 required per car.
I counted 6 on one side, assume there are more than two bolts holding the other manifold on so between the diagram and the bolt count I assumed I had the wrong part.
Either way I have 3 spares coming b/c I found the original.
The AOS is out...it may actually be ok, it appears that the last person to work on it over tightened the screw clamp on the lowers bellows. Not sure if a leak there would have caused excess oil in the intake tract, but the bellows was split for sure. They also used single use clamps on all of the lines that attach to the AOS.
