Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Purchased a hyd. jack (husky 2 ton but don't really like it) and decided to test it on my new to me 02 996 cab. I jacked up passenger side rear and noticed water dripping from driver front area. Lowered car and water stopped. I am sure it is plain water from a taste test. I also jacked up from passenger front and same result on driver side. The car was in rain couple of days ago, but this does not speak well for corrosion prevention. What do you guys think?

POST 2Original post

These cars have several drain holes for various systems. Seems you have found one or two.

POST 3Original post

Check for debris in the pan under the battery. Make sure the drain "grommets" are clear of leaves etc...

POST 5Original post

That is in the cowl under the battery, not the battery pan itself. There are two or three "grommets" that have slots in the top to aid in draining water.
